ABOUT THE PROJECT
This project aims to document the compelling life stories of Chinatown’s elderly community, shedding light on their early years, immigration experiences, and the cultural values that have shaped their identities. Through in-depth interviews and evocative portraits, Norah Lin aims to capture these individuals in their element, from engaging in daily activities to sharing tender moments with their loved ones. The project’s goal is to foster a sense of pride among younger generations and promote cultural continuity by preserving and celebrating the unique heritage of Chinatown’s cherished elders.
